CHANT features synthetic and acoustic voices which pulse in synchrony with dispassionate precision. The inherent complexity of acoustic sound sources counters the invariance of the grid-like channel in which they are embedded, as if struggling to break free from it.

CHANT was composed throughout the initial months of COVID isolation when I was also planning for a job change and an international move. Without access to quality recording equipment or academic studio facilities, I focused on sound synthesis methods and manipulations of pre-existing sound files. One possibly striking aspect of the work is its musical language, which combines post-digital influences with acousmatic sensibility.
